Nicolay Ferrari has a PhD in Cellular Biopathology, which was followed by postdoctoral fellowships in gene therapy and stem cells. He has more than 25 years of R&D experience in multiple therapeutic areas including respiratory, oncology, and neurodegenerative diseases.

He brings extensive scientific and project management expertise in early preclinical (screening, optimization, pharmacology, and PK/PD) and nonclinical studies, CMC, and early clinical development. Throughout his career, he gained experience with various types of products including small molecules, oligonucleotides, RNA, proteins, and monoclonal antibodies, and multiple routes of administration such as inhalation (dry powder, liquid aerosols, and gas), intravenous, intradermal, subcutaneous, and oral. In addition, he has contributed to the preparation of numerous regulatory packages to the FDA and EMA and strategic assessments for new chemical entities and 505(b)(2) drugs.
