Turnkey Implementation

Our Rapid Implementation Plus (RI+) project management methodology is currently in its third release. This is a result of our time tested methodology and PeopleSoft "Compass Methodology". The Basic Premise of the RI+ methodology is that significant value can be created by using business processes inherent in an ERP product rather than by customizing them to suit existing business practices.

The Essential Principles include

  • Let Users to buy into the Product.
  • Involve and empower users.
  • Go Live early. Phase out customizations.

How are these principles applied?

Involve Users Very Early
Involve users very early in the functional analyses. Use Product Walkthroughs to familiarize them with the application, using sample databases. We call these Familiarization Databases. These Familiarization Databases contain setups and parameters representing the business practices and naming conventions of the user organization.
Cross train users in related modules
Cross train users in related modules so that they are conversant with the impact of each of their modules.
Encourage Users To Define A Minimal System Scope
Encourage users to define a minimal system scope that will enable the organization to go live with the product very early in the implementation. This allows the users to familiarize themselves to a greater degree with their respective functional areas.
Phase Out The Customizations Introduce customizations in phases
- this results in reducing non-key customizations and thus enhances maintainability, simplicity, and scalability to newer versions.

In order for the PCG solution to be deployed, customers will be walked through the Eight Phases of RI+:
  • Phase 1: Pre-implementation Planning
  • Phase 2: Product Walkthroughs
  • Phase 3: Fit/Gap Analysis (Transparent Training)
  • Phase 4: Develop Baseline Functional Specifications
  • Phase 5: Vanilla implementation / Base Upgrade (Includes Testing)
  • Phase 6: Key Customizations
  • Phase 7: Testing
  • Phase 8: Go Live
  • Change Management
  • PCG manages upgrade / implementation cycle changes through a combination of structural procedures and best practice tools.
  • The Implementation / Upgrade strategy document mentioned in the Pre-Implementation Planning and the Baseline Functional Specifications contain the standards (either brought with the team or inculcated from the customer).
  • Other than procedures surrounding change, PCG also brings QA and Change Management Experts with tools knowledge (STAT, PVCS, TrueChange, etc).
  • If Customers would like to use internal tools, these are also complemented by our methodology.
